Privacy Policy

My Agentic Diaries is a free email newsletter covering the AI industry. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can get away with, and we never sell it.

1. Definitions and key terms

• Personal data: any information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you, such as your email address.
• Service: the My Agentic Diaries newsletter, this website, and any related pages we operate.
• Cookie: a small file a website stores on your device, usually to remember you between visits.
• Processor: a company that handles data on our behalf and under our instructions, such as our email provider.
• You: a subscriber or visitor to the Service.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you subscribe, we collect your email address. That is the only field on our signup form, and it is the only piece of personal information we ask you for. If you email us directly, we also hold whatever you choose to put in that message.

Engagement information

Our email provider records whether an issue was opened and whether links were clicked. We use this in aggregate to judge whether the briefing is useful and which stories readers care about. You can stop this at any time by disabling remote images in your email client, which prevents open tracking.

Technical information

Our hosting provider automatically logs standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. These logs exist for security and reliability, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details. The newsletter is free and we do not operate a payment system.

3. How we use your information

• To send you the daily and weekly briefing you signed up for.
• To decide what to cover, based on aggregate engagement across all readers.
• To respond to you when you contact us.
• To keep the Service secure and to investigate abuse or technical faults.
• To comply with the law where we are legally required to do so.

We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the newsletter:

• Resend, our email provider, which stores the subscriber list and delivers each issue.
• Vercel, which hosts this website and processes the signup form.

These companies act as processors on our behalf, are bound to handle your data only as we instruct, and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if we are legally compelled to, or if the newsletter is ever transferred to a new owner, in which case we will tell you before your data moves.

If the newsletter carries a sponsor, the sponsor supplies the ad content only. Sponsors never receive your email address or any subscriber data.

5. Security of information

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and our subscriber list sits with an established email provider protected by its own access controls. Access is limited to the people who run the newsletter. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record of the unsubscribe so that we do not accidentally email you again. Aggregate engagement statistics may be kept indefinitely because they no longer identify you. Ask us to erase your data and we will do so, subject to any legal obligation to keep it.

7. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Delete your data.
• Object to or restrict how we use it.
• Port your data to you or another provider in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, which for us means unsubscribing.

Email us and we will action the request, normally within 30 days. We will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. There is nothing to opt out of and no consent banner, because we do not track you as you browse.

Inside the emails themselves, our provider uses a small tracking pixel for opens and redirect links for clicks, as described in section 2. Blocking remote images in your email client disables the pixel. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies generally through their settings.

We do not run remarketing or retargeting campaigns, and we do not respond to Do Not Track signals because the website does not track you in the first place.

9. Email communications

Subscribing means you get the newsletter, which is a daily briefing plus a fuller weekly edition. We may occasionally send a service message about a significant change, such as an update to this policy. We do not send standalone promotional emails on behalf of third parties.

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Use it and you come off the list immediately. You can also just reply and ask.

10. AI-generated content

The newsletter is assembled automatically. An AI model selects and summarizes stories from public sources such as RSS feeds, company blogs, and public forums, and every item links to its original source. Two things follow from that, and we would rather say them plainly:

• Your data is never used to train AI models. Subscriber emails and engagement data are not fed to any model, ours or anyone else's.
• Automated summaries can contain errors. Treat the newsletter as a starting point and follow the source link before relying on anything important.

11. Links to other websites

The newsletter is mostly links to other people's websites. Once you follow one, you are on their turf and their privacy policy applies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will delete the record promptly.

13. International data transfers

We operate from Singapore, and our providers are based in the United States. Your email address will therefore be stored and processed outside your own country, including in countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where we transfer data out of the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses to protect it.

14. California residents

Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we never have. We also do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to deliver the newsletter. Exercising these rights will not get you worse service. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

15. UK and European Union

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, our lawful bases for processing are:

• Consent, which you give by subscribing, for sending the newsletter and measuring engagement. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
• Legitimate interests, for keeping the Service secure and preventing abuse.
• Legal obligation, where the law requires us to retain or disclose something.

You have all the rights in section 7, and you may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the newsletter evolves. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and if a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to subscribe after a change means you accept the updated policy.
